Network Engineer and Trainer

Jose Santiago has been working in the networking discipline since 2018 but has been in the IT industry since 2012. He has long experience supporting Research and Education networks and designing campus network during his time with the University of Guam. He was involved in the implementation and operations of three Internet Exchange Points, GOREX, MARIIX and Guam IX.

Jose has been involved with the NSRC since 2015 through events like PacNOG and APRICOT as well as other Direct Engineering Assistance engagements with other organizations in the Marianas region.

When not doing work with the NSRC, Jose works for a datacenter, managing its IXP and coordinating peering. He is also an independent consultant for small business networks.

Jose is an alumnus from the University of Guam with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and certified from the University of Washington in Cybersecurity Risk Management. Originally from Saipan, in the Northern Mariana Islands, he lives in Guam, building networks as a passion.
