From: Mariette van der Heijden To: sghuter@nsrc.org CC: Ntene@csu_1.nul.ls Date: Wed, 18 Dec 1996 08:22:09 SAT-2 Hello Steven, We are using an ICL 486, 66MHZ, 750 Mb HDD, 8 MB RAM, RedHood LINUX. This is on a temporary basis, while our IBM-mailserver keeps on running the UUCP service. Once everything is settled we would like to move everything to our IBM, this is a 486, 66MHZ, 1 GB disk, 16 MB RAM, SCSI controler. On this machine we would like to run UUCP next to the normal mailservice, for the purpose of users who still run Snuupm from their DOS machines. We are planning to upgrade the Hard disk space of the IBM in order to install a cache server as well. We have a CISCO 2511 connected to the server. We would like to connect a number of 14.400 US-Robotics modems to this router in order to make the server accessible from all over campus (there is no campus network). This is not working yet, but is expected to be there soon. We have a simple home-page, which contains not much information yet. But we will start working on that during the next year.
