On behalf of Lanka Internet Services, Ltd., I would like to thank Randy Bush who helped and guided us in numerous ways in our long journey towards getting the Internet to Sri Lanka. I would also like to thank Jeff Studds, Marti Kiser, and Vadim Antonov at Sprint, Steve Goldstein of NSF, and Bill Foerderer of USAID for making this possible. As you might know, Hon. Bernard Soysa (Minister of Science and Technology of Sri Lanka Govt), Ms. Teresita Schaeffer (U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka) and Dr. Arthur C. Clarke inaugurated our NOC on April 26. Already we have over 100 organizations who want Internet, signed up. I think we will run out of capacity in our 64k circuit quite fast, at this rate! Thank you.
