Recent developments involve both infrastructure development and advanced accessibility over Internet. We have now completed a 2 Mbps backbone which connects major sites in Tallinn and connects Tallinn and Tartu (190 kilometers apart). This has provided us with a platform that supports NFS and HYPERTEXT applications. Indeed, Estonia can now be visited using Mosaic and Netscape (http://www.eenet.ee). Under development is a neutral IX-LAN which will unify our international access and will provide access to various service providers. I hope this is of help and please do not hesitate to contact us for more elaborate review. Regards, Jaak Lippmaa
