mcohort: MSDP question

I am seeing non-local sources showing up in my MSDP state, originated
by my RP.  Is this normal?  Should I be filtering originated SA
messages by source-prefix, allowing only prefixes that are directly
connected to me?  I've only seen recommendations that RFC1918 sources
should be filtered and bad groups should be filtered, which is what I
have been doing.
