JunOS RIBs

• BGP & IGP routes populate inet.0 – default

• MBGP populates inet.2

• PIM RPFs using inet.0

  • Huh? inet.0 will work for internal sources, but..
  • Any router running MBGP requires some special config
    • Populate IGP, connected, and statics into inet.2
    • Then tell PIM to use inet.2
    • Now RPF works for both internal and external sources
