Workshop Goals
- Learn about running network services on UNIX/Linux systems
- Learn how to use open source software to monitor availability and performance of your systems and network
Requirements
- Basic Linux or UNIX command line experience.
- Basic knowledge of IP networking
Required Equipment
- Participants must bring their own Ethernet or WiFi-capable laptops with an OS (Windows, Linux/UNIX, MacOS, etc.) capable of running an SSH client and a web browser.
Recommended Software
- SecureShell SSH Client
- PuTTY for Windows (SSH)
- Linux, UNIX (Mac OS) already have SSH installed. DO NOT USE PUTTY FOR LINUX OR MAC!
