Dec 9-13 NSRC staff attended the Internet2 TechEx meeting held in Boston, Massachusetts to help support multiple NSRC/Internet2 Fellows who attended the meeting from African Research and Education Network groups.

NSRC's staff and contractors attended LINX 123. Philip Smith presented IXPs and Developments in Networking.

NSRC supported the 2024 SCinet Research Exposition and Oregon Booth during SC24.

Brian Candler, Dale Smith Patrick Okui, Sebastian Büttrich and Anna Saine lead the Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop at the University of the Gambia and provided Direct Engineering Assitance.

NSRC will be teaching a Network Monitoring and Management Workshop at WALC 2024 which was held virtually.
Nov 6-7
NSRC and RouteViews with Dr. Philip Smith provided a RouteViews Update during the Peering Asia 6.0 event taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Oct 25-Nov 8 NSRC staff Hans Kuhn assisted with the set up of the network and NOC at IETF 121 held in Dublin, Ireland from November 2-8, as well as attending IETF working groups.

NSRC personnel will attend the NANOG92. Philip Smith will gave a tutorial on
BGP Techniques for Network . He, also, gave a
Routeviews Update presentation during the event.

During mnNOG 6, NSRC conducted a
Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop . Philip Smith and Philip Paeps were instructors at the workshop and gave talks during the opening ceremony of the event.

NSRC/RouteViews participated in SgNOG 11. Philip Smith gave an update The RouteViews project.
Sep 20 NSRC helped to lead a Technical Trainer Webinar with the
Coalition for Digital Africa, the Africa Top Level Domain Organization (AfTLD) and ICANN).

During AfNOG 2024, NSRC conducted a two-day
Network Monitoring and Management Tutorial online using our virtual training platform. Seun Ojedeji, Hervey Allen, Cleven Mmari, Timothy Ola Akinfenwa were NSRC and friends who assisted with the tutorial.

Aug 12-18 NSRC and GARNET taught a 4-day Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop. NSRC provided Direct Engineering Assistance to the Regional Maritime University .

NSRC will participate in btNOG 11 and will be conducting a Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop and giving some presentations during the event. Tashi Phuntsho gave an Opening International Keynote about "The journey of an accidental Enterprise Architect". Brian Candler gave a presentation on "IPv6 Mostly at the edge". Philip Smith spoke about "RouteViews and Routing in Bhutan". NSRC provided a 4-day DEA for the
Royal University of Bhutan and the Gov Tech Agency, Royal Government of Bhutan.

Jul 15-19 NSRC trainers and partners Alain Aina, Patrick Okui and Simon Balthazar explored AfTLD ccTLD Capacity Building with KENIC: Technical Track. The event was hosted by AFRALTI.
Jul 13-26 Hans Kuhn of the NSRC provided support for IETF 120's
network buildout. He, also, participated in the 6man (IPv6 Maintenance), grow (Global Routing Systems), and dnsops (Domain Name Systems Operations) working groups during the meeting.
Jul 8-12 Philip Smith of NSRC gave a keynote speaker talk about the Internet evolution from a technical perspective in the Philippines, and gave a presentation on RouteViews during the PhNOG 2024 (30 years of Philippine Internet) event held in Manila, Philippines.

Jun 29 Philip Smith of the NSRC provided Direct Engineering Assistance to the University of Guam.

NSRC Trainers Philip Smith and Jose Santiago, alongside Jeremy Santos of PTI Pacifica, taught a Routing Infrastructure and Security Operations workshop as part of PacNOG33 in Guam.
Jun 10-11 Steve Huter of the NSRC participated in the Pacific Islands Higher Education Summit, that was hosted at University of Hawaii by President David Lassner.

NSRC will teach a Routing Infrastructure & Security Operations Workshop. Phil Smith, Jose Santiago and Tashi Phuntsho of the NSRC co-taught the workshop that was held prior to the
BKNIX Peering Forum 2024. During the event NSRC gave presentations as well. Tashi Phuntsho gave a presentation on Securing Internet Routing: The Puzzle Pieces and Philip Smith a presentation on The Internet Routing Table: Using RouteViews .
May 23-25 NSRC organized a site visit to The University of The Gambia . Anna Secka Saine and Patrick Okui from NSRC went for the visit.

Feb 21-23 Hervey Allen, Carlos Armas, Brian Candler, Bob Rotsted of the NSRC conducted a 3-day Practical Virtualisation with Hybrid Strategies Workshop during APRICOT 2024 . Brian Candler gave a presentation (IPv-only Network Report) on March 1st during the Closing Plenary.

Jan 29-Feb 2 NSRC participated in APAN 57 held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Jan 19-20 Hervey Allen from the NSRC gave a presentation on NSRC and Asia Pacific during TPRE 2024.
Jan 15-20 NSRC in conjunction with the Philippine Research, Education, and Government Information Network PREGINET organized a Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop at the College of Computer Science, Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges CSPC in San Miguel, Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines. The workshop was followed by two days of Direct Engineering Assistance at CSPC.
