Cleven Mmari

Director of IT Security Compliance, University of Oregon

Cleven works with campus partners to ensure the IT Security regulations & policies from the university, local, state, federal & international entities and agencies are met. My team and I facilitate the integration and inclusion of security & privacy standards in the people, processes & procedures used at the University. Previously, Cleven led IT teams for 23 years, that provided effective technology solutions, build partnerships, and managed all aspects of Information Systems for campus divisions and departments.

Since attending a NSRC/UO CIS summer 2009 course, Cleven has participated in workshops at AIS, AfNOG, NRSC/TERNET and others on the topics of Network and Systems Monitoring and Management and UNIX/Linux System Administration.

Cleven attended University of Dar-Es-Salaam Faculty of Engineering in Tanzania before transferring to University of Oregon where he studied Computer Science, Mathematics and masters of public administration.
