Unfortunately, local regulations prohibits commercial IP traffic other than through the PTT. And the PTT doesn't still offer any IP services. So, the only legal way to carry commercial Internet traffic is via voice lines, or via the public X.25 network. Either one, is extremely expensive (and slow and unreliable) for live permanent Internet connectivity. We are in continuos negotiation with the Telco company. We expect to have a license, and a fast pipe, for commercial Internet traffic real soon. In the meantime, we are restricted to email and Internet-by-email services. There are a few 'Internet' hosts in Argentina though, some universities and a couple of governmental offices (and there is some undercover 'commercial' traffic through them, which does compete with us).
