The last update I have about Bulgaria is from > 28 October 1993 listing you (and Digital Systems) as a contact and > indicating that full Internet access is available from Bulgaria. > > Is this still valid? Are there any new links, or planned links to Bulgaria? Situation is very much the same - EUnet is the only ISP providing Internet access in Bulgaria. There have been other projects, most not yet completed. One operational network connection, but only for e-mail, is that of the UNICOM-B association (accademic network), operating the BGEARN.BITNET node. As far as I am aware, only two BITNET sites exist in Bulgaria - BGEARN and BGCICT. Our network now has local access points in Varna, Sofia and Plovdiv. These access points provide full Internet access capabilities (via leased lines, X.25 access or dialup connections). I would expect that at least two or three new local access points will be opened by the end of the year. Should you need more detailed information, please do not hesitate to contact me again. Best Regards to you and Randy! Daniel
