Clarifications on Internet connectivity cost in Benin. I will use the example of the first ISP (The PTT of Benin). The PTT offers two kind of tarification for connectivity using switched modem .. 1- Subscribe without MailBox - We call it RTC subscribe : Fixed cost - 4800 FCFA (<10$) - You have to pay while browsing 51 FCFA (<0.1$US) per minute by calling a special number like green lines in France. 2- Subscribe with MailBox : Fixed cost - 25.000 FCFA (<50 $US) * Monthly cost for the MailBox : 10.000 FCFA (<20$US) * 51 FCFA per Minute of occupation of the green line.
