Web Networks has been in conversation with a number of parties within Cuba about this service for the past six months and has been unable to find a way to keep the connection open. We have attempted to assist in moving TinoRed's feed over to the permanent Internet connection that has recently been installed in Cuba but have been unsuccessful. Over the years, Web Networks has remained committed to NGO networking in Cuba by covering the polling costs for TinoRed and other networks. While we want to continue this commitment, we are a small non-profit ourselves and can no longer afford the almost $2000 per month that it costs to keep this link open using phone lines. We are currently working with a number of solidarity groups to find other ways to cover this cost. Please feel free to contact us if you have ideas about how this link could be restored.
