Connectivity Providers Database

A demonstration of the CV Home page was given in Praia, CV last week by CV telecom using a dial-up to an Internet Provider in US. They would like the CVCCP WG to make a recommendation to them regarding establishment of an initial capability. I hope to be able to do this within the next 6 weeks. One of the big problems I've had to date is getting info on current infrastructure and international links in CV. CV Telecom has been very cooperative to date. I'm hoping info will be coming soon. Then I can put it out to the WG and hopefully get some good technical discussion going and come up with a recommendation. I have communicated indirectly to CV via Email. A fellow in Mindelo, Sao Vicente, CV has exchanged Email with me via a dial up to a server in Portugal (Telepac in Lisbon I think..I'd have to check). A lot of interest from a number of user types - medical, embassies, education (distance learning), tourism and business. Hopefully something will materialize fairly soon.
