I think this effort is similar to that of Senegal, except in Senegal all startup networks run parallel to Sonatel IP Link. In Ethiopia, the PT&T requested existing startup network to close down. It is a bit sad.. but I hope the PT&T will change the mind once it starts operating and understands the benefits of competition and local ISPs. Monopoly is not the way networking works.
