OLEANE is a commercial IP provider dedicated to companies, organizations and administrations who needs professional and critical connection to the INTERNET. OLEANE announced its IP services in October 93 at Interop in Paris. Since October 1993 OLEANE has connected more than 80 companies to the INTERNET. Individuals who want to connect to the OLEANE network to access the INTERNET are addressed our resellers, directly connected to the OLEANE backbone: Calvacom, DXNet, FranceNet, and WorldNet. OLEANE is the French branch of PIPEX INTERNATIONAL. GENERIC SERVICES: OLEANE provides a wide range of professional quality services: UUCP (mail+news) on PTSN and ISDN lines Dial-up Services: SLIP/PPP on PTSN and ISDN lines (both synchronous and asynchronous) Permanent connectivity: IP on Leased Lines from 9.6 to 128 Kbps and on X25 OLEANE has a flat-fee approach. The network is administered 24h/day, 7days/week. OLEANE can provide and maintain the customer links until the router output (PLUS SERVICE). OLEANE offers engineering services (sendmail/DNS configuration), Training and Consulting services. EXTERNAL CONNECTIVITY: OLEANE operates its own 128kbit/s link to the PIPEX major node in Cambridge to acces the whole of INTERNET with no acceptable usage policy (AUP) restrictions. INTERNAL CONNECTIVITY: OLEANE operates three points of presence in PARIS, STRASBOURG and most recently in GRENOBLE, with plans to open POPs in major towns by end of 1994. OLEANE and Renater (Research Network) link is now operational. The link for this french traffic is 128kbit/s.
