The telephone infrastructure is generally good and supports high speed dialup. We use communication servers and routers from major vendors to provide connectivity, and have UNIX servers of various types providing different services including shell access. Pricing for unlimited access dialup accounts is: US$150/month (student account) US$215/month (individual/company account) US$330/month (dedicated dialup line) New leased circuits are not available at this time in Kuwait for political rather than technical reasons. The cost of a dialup network connectivity ranges from US$1,000 to US$2,000/month depending on bandwidth and number of users. -- John W.
