From: amine@emi.ma To: sghuter@psg.com (Steven Huter) Date: Wed, 3 Jan 1996 14:24:04 +0000 (GMT) Hello, this is the info you asked for: About the connectivity: There is a private leased line from the AlAkhawayn University to EUnet France that allow the students and professors of the university to access Internet, it is up sinc 3 or 4 months, but it seems that there are many access problems... There is a line from national PTT (ONPT) to the US which is up and running for a few weeks. This line is 256 kbs and will be upgraded if necessary to 2 Mbps. The ONPT is selling Internet access directly or gives the opportunity to third party companies to use their infrastructure to sell IP connectivity (mainly dial-up) About the prices: For the moment, only ONPT is selling the service and the prices are: Dial-up access: US$ 20 per month with 3 hours of free access, and then US$ 6 per hour Access through leased line: US$ 700 per month for a 14.4 kbs access US$ 1400 per month for a 64 kbs access both prices include the leased line but do not include local taxes. The prices for dial up will probably be cheaper through third party companies. Today 6 of them have been authorized to set up a service. This is all the information I have, if you need something else, please, contact me again. Best regards, Amine Mounir Alaoui
