(2) Urgency of providing funding for Network donation shipment. (1) I sold my computer today, June 11. Therefore, I will not be able to inspect my e-mail account for messages on a daily basis. If you wish a quick response from me, here are the ways to do so. 1a. - If you send a message to my e-mail address, , please send a copy to Mr. German, so he can notify me by phone about it. 1b. - My fax contact number is -- 1-(604)-473-9364. Please address it to Sharon Zaluski, and include a message that the fax is for me, asking her to call and notify me by phone about it. 1c. - My phone number is -- 1-(604)-736-4898. As of July 1, until my departure date on July 10, my phone number is -- 1-(604)- 689-2630. E-mail and fax contacts stay the same. (2) Part from a message I sent regarding deadlines: > >Saturday June 10 1995 -- last date of receiving funds to arrange shipment. >If I do not receive funds by this date, possibility of arranging shipment >logistics successfully is reduced considerably because of technical and >personal reasons. > Today June 11, I consulted Mr. German by phone regarding best way to proceed with handling of donation. June 30, is the absolute last day in which donation will be in my possession. On this day I am moving out of my place of residence, which is the space donation is currently at. Therefore I am looking at options of relocating donation on the last week of June, or earlier. Although shipping donation to Mongolia is the preferred solution, I now have to look at and consider other options for potential recipients, abroad or locally. Part of message Mr. German sent Hongorzul via Dr. Nergui regarding this issue: > >If that problem doesn't get solved very soon, all our work on that donation >will go to benefit some other recipient, somewhere other than Mongolia. This >cannot wait until the day Ron leaves Vancouver -- he's losing his space there, >so those computers have to be moved, and it might as well be to their final >recipient; we may have no alternative. > Dr. Nergui expressed in a message on May 28 a wish to receive donation. > >to: John German, > Ron Yehia >As an initiator of this project I would like to express my gratitude again >and assure you that I am happy to receive your donation. I am sure that >this donation will develop the computer network at our Center as well as >improve the professional skills of the staff. > >I surely would like mr.Yehia to handle shipping logistics. > Unfortunately I have not received funds for shipping donation from him. For Dr. Nergui, at what point do you release us from obligation of holding donation for you? Dr. Enkhbat also expressed an interest in receiving donation on May 23. > >Dear Ron, > >Thank you for your message about the Sun network. I would like inform >you that I will consider to receipt the donation only if Mr. Nergui or >Mr. Dorj will be not possible to receipt it. I think you will understand >my position to give priority to university and reseachers. In any case >I think we will cooperate when you will come in Mongolia. > >Sincerely, >Enkhbat D > I assume that all parties involved in Mongolia, can confer and reach an immediate decision on sending funds. >From the beginning, regarding NPC Mongolia donation, I worked with the knowledge that sending donation to Mongolia is the first priority, and I tried everything I can do to accomplish a successful closure in this direction. It would be extremely disappointing now, if donation could not be sent there because of last minute lack of funding. Regards to all, Ron Yehia
