Subdomains in .pl are registered for .edu, .org, .gov, .gda, .gliwice, .lublin, and .waw. You should check with your local system staff as to whether you have access to a program such as nslookup or dig which would give you more details. Perhaps Brian Wenger or someone else in his office can tell you what capabilities you have. Information about connections to specific locations in Poland may be available from postmaster@fuw.edu.pl, where name server records for the .pl domain are maintained, or postmaster@plearn.pl, where BITNET traffic enters from Sweden.
