Al-Zoman , Steve G Huter , Randy Bush Subject: Saudi Internet activity > What is the total international bandwidth to Saudi Arabia at this time? The current total International Bandwidth is 15 E1 (= 30 Mbps) and ISU/KACST is in the process of installing E3 (=34 Mbps) by the end of this year. For the list of local ISPs please visit our site http://www.isu.net.sa/internet/ All local ISPs are going through KACST/ISU who has 15 E1 international links (4 uunet, 2 france telecom, 9 Teleglobe). Local ISPs bandwidth to ISU range from ~ 1.5 Mbps to 512 Mbps. All ISPs provide dialup services on all cities that are covered by STC (Saudi Telecom Company, the only Telephone company in KSA). STC provides dialup services to ISPs using L2TP. That is ALL modems are maintained by STC and ISPs rent from them modem ports. -- Best regards, Abu Omar __________________________________________________________ Abdulaziz H.
