From: eelco@pipex-sz.net To: update@nsrc.org Date: Wed, 21 Aug 1996 23:36:45 +0200 (GMT+0200) Hello, Here is an update to the Swaziland data. Pipex Swaziland has changed its name, following the global merger between UUNET Technologies in the States and Pipex in the UK. We now call ourselves UUNET Internet Africa - Swaziland. An email message that I sent to Steven Huter can also be found on your pages. In there, I mentioned subscribtion rates. These have dropped rather a lot. For a single dial-up subscription (33.6Kbps is handled across Mbabane phone lines, less so in more remote locations) one pays only E89 per month (if one included the 10% discount for pre-payment). With the current exchange rate that is just over US$19, for unlimited access. We currently have 12 incoming lines, and hope to expand to 17 this month. Our international capacity will also be upgraded, which will at the same time make our connection less vulnerable to downtimes. Hope this helps, -- Eelco Vriezekolk (Nic-handle EV3), eelco@iafrica.sz Voice: +268 44705 Fax: +268 44783
