From: Discuss-owner@afrispa.org [mailto:Discuss-owner@afrispa.org] On Behalf Of Frank Habicht Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2004 4:39 PM To: Discuss@afrispa.org Subject: [AfrISPA.Discuss] Internet Exchange - Tanzania Hello all, Tanzania Internet eXchange (TIX) is up & running. 4 ISPs are connected exchanging traffic with each other. We expect at least 4 more within few weeks. Traffic is monitored and max was 670 kbps today, but I think someone was 'testing'. In general during daytime >100kbps Expecting much more as more connect. Looking glass in place, but only accessible from the connected networks (IXP has no transit to/from "outside"). All running BGP with route reflector. Currently all ASNs are private (>54512) . (see my last mail....) more info: http://www.tix.or.tz/ a statistics snapshot from this afternoon: http://www.tix.or.tz/stats/ info@tix.or.tz hints / guidance for ISPs to connect (I still request suggestions...): http://www.tix.or.tz/how2connect.html Have a nice weekend!
