Please note that all prices exclude VAT. Book are Zero rated, all other products and services are subject to VAT at the standard rate. Internet Connections ==================== Standard Dial Up Your computer on the Internet with your own Internet address. File transfer (ftp) directly to and from your computer. Multiple sessions - download/upload mail and news, telnet and ftp all at the same time. Full read/write Usenet news feed - the worldwide conferencing system with over 5000 groups. Multiple mail addresses, e.g.: grahame@yourmc.demon.co.uk cliff@yourmc.demon.co.uk postmaster@yourmc.demon.co.uk Mail must only be processed on the computer connected to us and not passed on to other computers for composing or reading. Setup fee #12.50. Fixed price #10 per month. No online charges or charges for mail etc. You have to pay your telephone service provider (BT or Mercury) their normal charges. However, once you have connected to your nearest Demon Point of Presence (PoP) you pay no extra - even if you connect to international sites. Payment for home users can be made monthly in advance by Access or Visa credit cards. Companies are requested to pay annually in advance and will receive a formal VAT invoice. Mail Forwarding A supplementary service which permits mail to passed on round your network etc. for reading and composing. We will also register for you an official domain name such as yourmc.com, yourmc.org or even yourmc.co.uk. #200 per year. Dial-on-Demand Allows your computer to be called up when a connection by outside is made. Useful if you want your mail sent to you as soon as it arrives or you wish other people to be able to connect to your system e.g. other people can leave or collect software via ftp from your computer at anytime. Our computer dials in to your when required. You may specify what times we may call you and for what type of IP traffic. Supplemental charge to standard dial up. Setup #50. #15 per month. In addition you will be charged for any phone calls made from our computer to yours. Network Connection Your complete network of up to 253 computers on the network. Your own domain and Class C internet address for your network as required. We also register you for a domain name (see Mail Forwarding above). Supersedes all of the above types of connection. Setup #250. #450 per quarter Dedicated connection As for the Network Connection above but we allocate a personal line for you with its own number. Using this service, your company can truly claim to be "on the Internet" at a fraction of the cost of a leased line service: Setup #1,000. #550 per quarter plus any phone call charges. ISDN Service ISDN is a new service which permits a 64Kbps connection to your system. The service is similar to the dedicated connection with the exception that we will provide all the necessary equipment to connect your Ethernet to the Internet. Once in operation, the only difference between ISDN and a 64Kbps leased line is the cost. ISDN works out cheaper in the first year and savings increase in subsequent years. Setup #3,000. #1,000 per quarter plus any call charges at cost. Consultancy and Programming Services ==================================== We have considerable experience in communications as well as producing high quality custom software, written in C, for a wide range of applications. Modems, Serial Chips and Boards =============================== We are dealers for the US Robotics/Miracom range of modems. Modems currently in stock and on offer as at 1st March 1993 are: US Robotics/Miracom BT approved external modems. 1) V.32bis with fax #400 V.32bis, V.32, V.22bis, V.22, V.23 and V.21 V.42 MNP1-4 error correction V.42bis MNP5 data compression ASL Adaptive speed levelling New smaller box (160mm by 260mm) and is guaranteed upgradeable to V.fast by US Robotics, whenever that comes out. 2) Dual Standard 16.8 HST mode with fax #500 as for 1) but also has 16.8K HST mode All modems have Fax - Group 3 Fax accepting class 1 commands. BlastFax for the PC is bundled and it is supported by US Robotics for WinFax. 5 Year guarantee. Next (working) day delivery is #11.50 for the first modem and #2 per subsequent modem.
