Administrators: Cesar Ramos <cramos@ivic.ivic.ve> and Lenni Montiel <lmontiel@ivic.ivic.ve>. Most of the databases on the TAIS Gopher are in Spanish and English. The screens are in spanish. TAIS provides exceptional information on Latin America social sciences and social research. Via TAIS latinamerican research centers, universities, NGO's and other agencies can acces many Internet resources related to social sciences and social development in a "one stop shopping" visit. TAIS provides a major link to the INTERNET for social researchers and practitioners in Latin America. This Gopher provides links to latinamerican libraries catalogs and other specialized bibliographic databases in social sciences. Also are available links to "latinamerican and iberoamerican universities"; and acces to many Academic Networks in Latin America and other regions. There are various sources of news and many standard Internet access tools and information. TAIS includes acces to REVEC Venezuelan Network for International Cooperation and SELIA On-Line Academic Sistem of Venezuela. An interest source of information in TAIS is DIBIS- The Iberoamerican Directory of Social Research and Development; which includes specialists from Latin America, Spain, Portugal; latinamericanists, iberoamericanists and hispanoamericanists of all around the world; and many other people interested in the development of Latin America. .
