A Few Words with Paul Robertson
Paul Robertson, President of the Tohono Oʼodham Community College, speaks
to the nature of Cyberinfrastructure as a strategic asset for
geographically isolated tribal colleges. Internet access and bandwidth are
only the beginning of a larger conversation for his campus in developing
the education and research environment at the southernmost tribal college
in the United States in the heart of the Sonoran Desert.
In cooperation with the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) and Northern Arizona University (NAU), the NSRC assisted the local TOCC team to analyze the campus network, and then upgrade campus network infrastructure, user services, and external bandwidth capacity.
