November
November 29-December 14:. The NSRC supported the second workshop held jointly by PHEA and AfNOG at the ICT Centre, University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, Ghana to help strengthen ICT skills in East Africa.
December 7-11: Alain Aina taught at an Initial Registry Operation Course held in Dakar, Sénégal.
November 16-19: Hervey Allen and Sebastian Buettrich taught a Network Management and Security workshop at the PacNOG 6 workshop and conference held in Nadi, Fiji
November 14-20: Steve Huter Participated in the SC 2009 event held in Portland, Oregon, USA
November 9-13: The NSRC funded travel for instructors Antoine Bagula and Ermanno Pietrosemoli as well as supporting Alain Aina to organize a wireless workshop
in Cotonou, Benin in cooperation with WirelessU, ISOC and NetworkTheWorld.
November 2-4: José Domínguez and Hervey Allen taught and assisted at a Network Capacity building workshop towards a Bolivian NREN in La Paz, Bolivia.
November 2-3: Joe St. Sauver, sponsored by the NSRC, gave a talk at the Open Access 2009 conference held in Accra, Ghana.

October 12-16: The NSRC supported a wireless training workshop at the intERLab training center at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand.

September 28-October 4: The NSRC supported a joint effort by PHEA and AfNOG to teach workshops in East Africa to strengthen ICT skills at 12 African Universities. The first workshop was held at the ICT Centre, University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, Ghana.

September 2-5: Joel Jaeggli and Steve Okay (NSRC-funded volunteers) taught a WirelessU workshop in conjunction with the PacINET 2009 meeting held in Port Moresby, Papa New Guinea.
September 3-4: Hervey Allen and Phil Regnauld taught in the Introduction to Secure Registry Operations course that was part of the Latin American and the Caribbean ccTLDs Organization (LACTLD) technical training series, Santiago, Chile.

Recovery Planning (A/DCRP) workshop at AfTLD 2009, Arusha,
Tanzania
April 6: Dale Smith and Steven Huter participated in the
Internet2 International group meeting held at Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA

Internet2 connection, and to plan a set of technical workshops with
a group of Caribbean university partners, St. Augustine, Trinidad

attended NANOG
45, met with NAP del Caribe and Dominican university Staff to
discuss networking services, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
January 17-21: Steven Huter participated in the Pacific
Telecommunications Council meeting in Hawaii, and worked with a
group of Pacific Island universities and colleges on the design of a
Pacific Islands research and education network.
