December
December 4-8: NSRC personnel Hervey Allen and Phil Regnauld along with Eugene Adanzo of the University of Guam, will teach a Half Day Introduction to Linux Tutorial as well as a Virtualisation and Cloud Computing Workshop during PACNOG 21 that will be held at the Fa'onelua Convention Centre Building, along Vuna Road, Nuku'alofa, Tonga

November 27- December 12: The NSRC assisted engineers from the University of South Pacific in Suva, Fiji with topics related to Security, Virtualization.
November 6-17: NSRC pesonnel, Hervey Allen and Hans Kuhn will work as support for the Super Computing 2017 - SC17 meeting to be held in Denver, Colorado, United States.
November 6-10: NSRC contractors José Dominguez and Antonio Lobo will lead a workshop on Network Monitoring and Management during the WALC 2017 meeting to be held in San Salvador, El Salvador and hosted by the Universidad Tecnológica de El Salvador (UTEC).

October 29- November 3: NSRC personnel Hervey Allen, Patrick Okui will teach an Advanced Routing and BGP for NRENs Workshop in conjunction with the 2017 UbuntuNet-Connect conference that will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
October 23-27: In conjunction with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ICANN, and the Morocco National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency ANRT, the NSRC with Phil Regnauld will teach a DNS and Security Workshop that will be held in Rabat, Morocco.
October 4-6: Anna Sainne from NSRC will participate in the Grace Hopper Celebration that will be held in Orlando, Florida, United States.

September 17-19: Steve Huter attended ISOC 25 and the Internet Hall of Fame ceremony in Los Angeles, California, United States.
September 13-15:Alain Aina of NSRC is leading and teaching a DNSSEC workshop in cooperation with ICANN to engineers of the Comoro Islands located to the north-west of Madagascar. Aina has worked for NSRC, AfriNIC, WACREN, and volunteers with Internet Society, IETF and the ICANN Security and Stability Advisory Committee, in addition to working with numerous Internet Service Providers in West Africa for many years. Another goal of the meeting was to formalize adoption of DNSSEC into the .KM ccTLD with coordination by Ali Hadji Mmadi, Comore Telecom, and Yaovi Atohoun, ICANN. The workshop will be held in Moroni, Union of the Comoros.
August
August 29: Patrick Okui, Anna Secka, Khoudia Gueye and Phil Regnauld of the NSRC will participate in the launch ceremony of Senegal's Internet Exchange Point - SENIX that will take place in Dakar, Senegal.
August 21-22: Philip Smith of the NSRC will give presentations about the early days of LINX Internet Exchange Point, and the IXPs in Asia and in developing countries during LINX98. Philip will also teach a 3 Day BGP and Peering Workshop. LINX98 will be held in Manchester, United Kingdom.
August 7-8: Steve Huter of the NSRC will participate on the steering committee for the National Research Platform Workshop that will be hosted at Montana State University, in Bozeman, Montana.

July 24-August 3: NSRC in conjunction with the Research and Education Network for Uganda
RENU organize a Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop. Dale Smith and Patrick Okui of the NSRC will teach the workshop and will also provide direct engineering assistance to the University of Kisubi in Uganda.
July 24-25: Jon Brewer of the NSRC will assist Asian Institute of Technology AIT with Point-to-Point setup, monitoring and measurement (TakNet). He will also give a talk at ThaiNOG on LoraWAN and Internet of Things that will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
July 16-21: Hans Kuhn of the NSRC will attend the IETF 99 meeting that will be held in Prague, Czech Republic . Hans will assist with meeting setup and IETF NOC operations during the meeting.
June
June 23-25:Hervey Allen and Steve Huter of the NSRC will do a site assessment for WiFi connectivity to Pine Mountain Obsservatory for University of Oregon ShakeAlert project in Bend, Oregon, United States.
June 12-16: Patrick Okui, Sebastian Buettrich, Bob Rotsted, NSRC personnel and contractors will provide Direct Engineering Assistance to the University of Ashesi in Ghana.
June 6-9: Philip Smith of the NSRC will teach a Network Design Workshop as part of the Bhutan NOG Fourth Conference and Meeting btNOG 4. btNOG4 will be held in Thimphu, Bhutan.
June 6-9: Hervey Allen of the NSRC will attend a planning meeting for SC17 Help Desk and SCinet in Denver, Colorado, United States.

May 31-June 1: Joe Abley of the NSRC will provide a 2 day DNSSEC training as well as direct engineering assistance to the Kenya Network Information Center KENIC in Nairobi, Kenya.
May 21-June 2: The 2017 African Network Operators Group AfNOG 2017 will be held in conjunction with the 2017 Africa Internet Summit AIS 2017 in Nairobi, Kenya. NSRC personnel and collaborators John Smith, Cleven Mmari, Seun Ojedeji, Fanta Bouba, Patrick Okui and Joe Ably were some of the instructors of the Bootcamp, Network Monitoring and Management Workshop in English and French, Scalable Network Infrastructure Workshop, Scalable Internet Services Workshop.
May 15-20: Philip Smith of the NSRC will teach a Peering Workshop during the BKNIX Peering Forum to be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
May 15-19: Hans Kuhn (NSRC), David Teach (University of Oregon) and John Hess (CENIC joined network engineers at the University of Guam for five days of intensive, hands-on work at the University of Guam main campus in Mangilao.
May 13-15: NSRC collaborator Phil Regnauld will attend the ICANN DNS Symposium on Saturday, May 13th in conjunction with the OARC meetings held on the 14th and 15th in Madrid, Spain.
May 11-12 NSRC collaborator Steve Song will participate on the New Business Models panel in the Canadian Spectrum Summit 2017 that will be held in the University of Calgary, Canada.

April 24-25: NSRC collaborator, Steve Song will give a presentation on Community Wireless Networks and will participate in the Innovative Business Models Working Group during the Internet Inclusion: Advancing Solutions Conference organized by the IEEE. Steve Huter of the NSRC will also participate in the meeting that will be held in Washington D.C. in the Park Hyatt Washington Hotel.
April 23-26: The NSRC and
Internet2 sponsored two network engineers to
attend the Internet2 Global
Summit to be held in Washington D.C. The engineers included Sarah Kiden of Uganda Christian University and Kanchana Kanchanasut of the Asian Institute of Technology. The Global Summit took place at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel. Steve Huter and Dale Smith of the NSRC participated in an IRNC PI Meeting and Pacific Networking (TPRE) Meeting. Dale Smith gave a Tribal Colleges (TCU) Talk as well.
April 20-24: NSRC staff and contractors Philip Smith, Brian Candler, and Anton Berezin will teach a Campus Network Design and Operations Workshop previous and during the 2nd CAREN Regional Networking Conference (CRNC 2017). The workshops will be held in Bishkek, Kyergyszstan.

March 30-31: Dale Smith of the NSRC, will attend WACREN 2017 Meeting and will give a presention about the "Practical Experience from emerging NRENs Around the World". The meeting will be held in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire.
March 26-31: Hans Kuhn of the NSRC will attend the IETF 98 meeting held in Chicago, Illinois. Hans will assist with meeting setup and IETF NOC operations during the meeting.
March 19-22: The NSRC is sponsoring a network technician from the University of Guam (UoG) and from the Kenya Education Network (KENET) to attend CENIC 2.O meeting that will be held in San Diego, California, United States.
March 11-17: NSRC collaborator Phil Regnauld attended the ICANN 58 meeting held in Copenhagen Denmark.

February 20-24: NSRC will teach or assist with workshops in BGP, Network Monitoring and Management, and Virtualization as part of the APRICOT 2017 event to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
February 14-16: Dale Smith and Steve Song of the NSRC will give a presentation during Next Generation Optical Networking Africa. They will also have meeting with TENET - the Tertiary Education and Research Network of South Africa, to consult about future activities. The event and meeting will take place in Cape Town, South Africa.
February 10-17: Steve Huter, Dale Smith, and Lucy Lynch of the NSRC, taught a NREN Training Tutorial during APAN 43 and assisted to a APAN/TEIN Governance Meeting held in New Delhi, India
February 9: Steve Song NSRC contractor participated in keynote GCI meeting "The Last Three Billion – Initiatives to Bring the Whole World Online" GLOBAL CONNECT event to be held in Washington D.C., United States.

January 23-30: NSRC staff and contractor Philip Smith and Nimal Ratnayake will teach a Campus Network Design, Operations and Security Workshop during SANOG 29. The workshop will be held in Islamabad, Pakistan.
January 23-27: NSRC staff and contractors Hervey Allen, Carlos Armas, Phil Regnauld and Antonio Lobo will teach workshops on Virtualization and Network Monitoring and Management and Security to network engineers from Costa Rica in conjunction with the Network Information Center of Costa Rica (NIC.CR). The workshops will be held in San José, Costa Rica.
January 15-18: Steve Huter of the NSRC will attend the University of Hawaii meeting on Pacific Islands Research and Education Networking (PIREN) as well as the PTC´17 meeting that will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii.
